Our artisan producers, based in Jaipur, India have been designing and weaving original flat weave and hand-knotted rugs since 1978.

In September 2017, we took a trip to Jaipur to meet the artisans themselves. To say we were taken back by their story of success and their goodwill to the region of Rajasthan cannot be understated enough. A business that started with 7 artisans, using just 2 looms has grown exponentially, providing jobs not just to those who live in the city of Jaipur, but to surrounding villages and towns also. Villages and towns, whose people had little other career options other than farming.
Amongst their many awards and achievements, in 2017 they were the only company in India to win the prestigious Carpet Design Award.

2017 was also the year they won the German design award, claiming the honours consecutively for 2 years.

The skillset required to weave traditional Indian rugs is not acquired overnight. In India, weavers of hand knotted and hand woven rugs are to be viewed as artists in their own right.

Whether it be vibrant colour tones, faded and distressed style or bold, geometric patterns, we've worked closely with our partners to curate a selection of floor art to befit any room.
