We're delighted to welcome you to our showroom in Long Eaton, the home of British upholstery and the place our sofas are handmade. Tucked between Nottingham and Derby, it occupies the upper floor of a beautiful converted factory on the canalside, directly above our workshop.
It feels like the right setting for us. The building still wears plenty of its past, with exposed brickwork, old wooden beams and the character you only really get from a space that has been around for a while. Downstairs is where the craft happens; upstairs is where you can settle in and decide what you’d like us to make.
There are sofas to sink into, different sizes and shapes to compare and lots of fabric samples to look through, so you can test colours and textures alongside your favourite designs rather than trying to imagine the combination.
You can see how the fabrics feel, decide whether you prefer a deeper seat than you thought and hold that brown swatch you saved online next to the green one that’s now making you reconsider everything.
We have a selection of our sofa collections on display, from compact loveseats and smaller two-seaters to generous deep-seated sofas and modular designs. It’s a chance to see the proportions in person and work out which collection actually feels right for you.
Visits are by appointment, so when you come to see us, there’s time to do all of that properly.
Made here, made for you
Long Eaton has been making upholstered furniture for generations, and it’s where our sofas are handmade to order.
We don’t work from a warehouse of identical finished sofas waiting to be shipped. Your sofa is made for you, giving you the freedom to choose the size and upholstery that suits your home.
At the showroom, you can see examples of the craftsmanship up close and spend some time with the designs before deciding. If you’ve been comparing two collections online, this is where the difference between them becomes much easier to understand.
Bring photographs of your room, measurements, flooring samples, paint colours or anything else you’re working around. We can help narrow things down and find combinations you might not have considered.
And there’s no expectation that you need to arrive knowing exactly what you want.

Our location in Long Eaton sits between Nottingham and Derby, close to the M1, making it handy if you're based across the East Midlands or travelling to see our sofas from further afield.
Visits are by appointment, which means we can give you the time and space to look around properly rather than turning the showroom into a busy furniture shop.
Stay for a while. Sit on everything. Go back to the first sofa again. Put fabric samples next to each other and change your mind. That’s the point.
